“On this old creek Wascana on this pile of bones”

Dan Cugnet

Winter 2021: I received a great phone call from an old friend. He had started writing country music during the pandemic. Stories and musings of our home province, Saskatchewan. I loved what he was doing and making the artwork for his albums has become a very organic process. Almost a conversation of sorts. I’d listen to songs in process and just start making. Sometimes, we would have conversations of lyrics and imagery but it was all very loose. It was a ton of creative freedom and just so much fun to make.
